Texas Gas Service employees distributed food to school families through a mobile pantry at Bel Air High School on Friday, March 10 at 9 a.m.
In addition, Texas Gas Service presented a $30,000 grant to El Pasoans Fighting Hunger’s school pantry initiative. One in every 4 children and 1 in every 8 individuals are food insecure.
“Texas Gas Service recognizes the basic need of access to nutritious and sustaining meals to ensure better performance in school, maintained health, and improved intellectual, physical and emotional development,” Texas Gas Service Community Relations Manager, Mica Short said. “We hope that nourished children will thrive and grow to be important contributors to our community, and at the very root of their success, is access to quality food through El Pasoans Fighting Hunger.”
